Carbon fiber automated layup equipment prepares composite components by automatically layering prepregs onto the surface of a mold. Depending on their structure and operating principles, these systems can be classified into gantry-type automated fiber placement machines, robotic automated fiber placement machines, and horizontal automated fiber placement machines, among others. Among these, robotic automatic fiber placement machines offer flexible movement and excellent spatial accessibility. When paired with a rotary positioning fixture, they can achieve the automatic placement of composite components with complex geometries. Consequently, compared to other types of fiber placement machines, they offer advantages such as lower equipment costs and a smaller footprint.
